I have lived in Harford County for a shorter period of time than any of the other producers and contributors to this project. As my participation and involvement has deepened, I am learning more about the culture that surrounds heroin use and pieces of the story behind the problem are slowly coming into focus.

I am getting a better idea about what questions to ask.

My primary collaborator, Viviane Haxel, has been in the trenches of the fight against homelessness and addiction in the county for many years and I hold her understanding of the problem to be valid. The stats don't lie. Young people are dying.

While the stats don't lie they don't tell the whole story. And the numbers alone will not provoke people to act and seek solutions.

What we want to accomplish with the project is to share the whatever we can uncover of the story behind the numbers.

It's stories that move people and inspire change.
I thank you in advance for your courage in sharing your story--your story could save a life.
